Here we are with the dilema that has plagued man ever since. To dine or not to dine... If what we partake of is able to defile from the beginning, why does Yeshua tell us that it is not what goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes out from him is what defiles him? Well, we know that it is what is coming from his heart and not what is going into his stomach.
Could we suspect that when someone is digesting food, that they are either eating out of ignorance (if eating detestable foods) or eating out of rebellion? From this parable, could we not suppose that those around us are eating out of ignorance and that should soften our hearts to pray for them and pray for evangelism to take hold?
If one is eating out of rebellion, is not the hardening of their heart the problem to begin with? They have hardened their heart to the extent that they are being witnesses of what evil is coming out of them. The look of piousness is for not, if the heart has not been sanctified and readied to receive The Gift from on high.
Adam had the Ruach Himself as a witness to him, and a reminder next to him to help in all his decisions. Instead of allowing the Glory of YHWH to be his conscience and best friend, he allowed his help-mate to usurp the position of the Most High. This curse has followed us through out the ages. Until we hear the call of Adonai for our salvation we are continuously eating of the thorns and thistles of the labor of our hands and the sweat of our face. The plants are enough to feed our physical appetite but fall totally short of our spiritual disease that can only be healed be calling upon the name of the Lord and looking upon the serpent.
I f man does not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God, then the thorns and thistles will never satisfy. The needs of the flesh will always try to out weigh the need of the spirit. Our spirit is crying out for Redemption, just as the Redeemer is crying out for Jerusalem. He longs to gather us to Himself, yet we are too mired in our own needs to see the redemption at hand. "Lift up your heads O ye Gates..." our heads have been bent looking to the provision promised as a curse, the curse of the ground that has come to us and provides our needs for living. Yet, above is the veil that has been rent on our behalf, and peering through is a Savior. He is longing for our gaze to meet His own. He desires to give us the kisses of His mouth, even now. But we must look up and through the other veils that have been place over us as wedding canopies. Our marriage to our jobs, to our hobbies, to our agendas, to our churches, to our anything that moves and gets our attention, thinking it is the movement of God. Where is the still small voice that beckons us to come?
We are not only the man seeking out the promise of the curse for provisional gain, but we are the bride that has the emptiness and longing to be next to her husband. Our desire is for Him, and we are continuously looking for any other him we can find to fill the void in hopes that he'll be the one (pun intended). In our attempt to quelch replacement theology, we have thrown out what we should be replacing our theology with.
Do we know that voice that calls? Do we hear that voice? Where is the voice found and where does it originate from? Lift up your heads O ye gates and be lifted up you everlasting doors! That the King of Glory may come in....Then it says again, and asks, "Who is this King of Glory?" Why ask....have you looked lately to find out? Have you sought? The word is active and living, not just on pages that are sifted through, not just on a scroll that is pointed at. It is acted out, the Word of YHWH is walking about, as trees among us and maybe even in us. His Word is over us and being poured down upon us like rain, even the latter rain. In this day and in this hour, where are we finding that rain? Where are we finding the Word made manifest?
Our time together is wonderful and will be more so, if we prescribe to His covenant. His promise is upheld now and forever for they are His Amen and His test for us. His Word is made relevant and made manifest in our hearts. This is the restoration taking place and it is beating the life of His Son within us. We are not our own, and He resides within us! Do we reside in Him? Do we abide in the Vine? Are we having trouble coming out of the vineyard when those around us begin to call us out? I think that we should be entreating them to come to us and to see the example of worship before we venture out to describe it to them. Don't you know that I have to be about my Father's business.
The empowerment that He gives while in His presence is the power we want and need for our time in history. The power that comes from being in the Presence together is the power of the last day church as seen in the upper room. Our personal time is just that before the Father. In His house are many dwelling places... Do you not think that He is big enough to hear you and be with you personally, even when together with other like minded saints? Just imagine, the voice of YHWH coming to us at the alter of incense and heard by all and yet able to minister to each one individual, just as that individual is blessing His heart.
Adam was torn away from that abiding and communing with the Creator of the Universe by taking advantage of God's faithfulness. Lest we go there, we must seek His faithfulness so that we may be in right-standing in His presence. Through the blood of a righteous man, the first born of all creation, we have been given to reconcile to our Creator. His humility has given way for our spirits to be fruit of His righteousness and His faithfulness. The giving of ourselves is all and is everything. It is the giving away of our reality that make His reality have fulfillment and purpose in our lives. Without Him we can do nothing for in Him, we are able to live, breath and have our being.
